LOVE Mail...........

Happy Hump day  Getting my fill of Valentine goodness.  I will be so sorry to see it go. Truly.  I think it is my favorite holiday.  It must be all the red.  I love red.  Makes me happy.  When I found this sweet mail box I swoooned.  It is the perfect red. Classic.  I knew that I had to pair it with this gorgeous wool chunky knitted flower I found.  I bought two of these flowers, I fell in love with them.  I found them at Hallmark of all places.  I plopped that puppy right on top and added several diffrent ribbons.  Added a cute stamped chalkboard tag and than got busy with adding paper layers and images.  Some sweet gingham words spelling out LOVE and SWAK and buttons,  I had to make several chipboard mini mail as well to tuck inside and than I was done!  Kinda reminds me of the cute little mail boxed we would make as kids.  Remember those?  Those were the days!  Well my darlings...hope you enjoy!  I am off for bed very soon!  hugs cherry

Sweet on You....

Happy Thursday ya'll!  Been having fun using small pieces of card stock to create cards....using up all my pattern scraps.  I created these for RRR.  All you need is paper scraps and a few basic shape diecuts.  I used Spellbinders and Wplus9 dies.  To make them pop I used foam adhesive.  I use a lot of this stuff to make my cards have dimension.  From there just use something as your focal point.  My theme was I used a sweet little cupcake and a piece of faux candy.  The ribbons I used are 1 inch satin with grosgrain edge in pink , Helen white crochet lace, and pink burlap string.  I topped off my mini tags with sweet little sweetheart blossoms.   Hope you enjoy!  Cherry

For a Daughter......

Good morning to you all!  As I was creating these goodies I kept thinking how feminine and soft.  My first project reminds me of something I would create for a daughter...if I had one.  Very girlish and sweet.  Little girls, pig tails, and dolls.  Since I have a son I love to be able to sit down and play with my pink.  Also my aqua.  One of my favorite pairings is red and aqua.   That is what my craft room is in.  Just makes me happy.  Lots of yummy seam bindings from RRR of course.  Most of what I played with is just ole goodies in my stash.  I am one of those that always mixes collections.  Hope you enjoy!  I am off to the big town for groceries.  Hugs, cherry

Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop!

Yippppeee first RRR blog hop of the year!   Here to share the gorgeous monthy ribbon club assortment today, with the sweet name "love is in the air".   Perfect assortment for Valentine's Day, which is not to far off!  Like all holidays they come at neck break speed.
You should have found your way here from Kathy's blog.  If at any time you find yourself lost just click on the RRR link above which will take you back to the RRR blog.  As for my projects...I could not stop at one!  I created several tags and two cards.  The first card I used the gorgeous lace Brenda white crochet lace.  Used it on both cards along with sun rose and baby pink seam bindings.  I also used buttons and flowers from the store.  So much fun creating in all these gorgeous varying shades of pink!   Hope you enjoy!  Your next stop is back at the RRR blog.  Enjoy all the inspiration!   Cherry

old fashion heart...

Hello happy Saturday to you!  I got up really early and went to Zumba...shaked my tail feather for awhile.  Felt good!  Now about ready to leave for son's basketball game.  I did clear a bit of time today to create this heart and wanted to share.   I started off with a plain wood heart.  Painted it red and just added metallic gold dots.  A painter I am not, but this was pretty easy.
Than the fun part of embellishing it up.  Used some diecuts for the layered hearts and a glass cabochon to really bring my sweet image into view.  I had forgot I had found some vintage gold seam binding awhile back and it was perfect dressed up with my red seam binding from RRR.   I love, love, love the old time feel of this.  I think they would look so pretty in a bowl as a filler...or for those that have Valentine trees!  Well I am off to cheer on our basketball team!  Good evening to you!  Cherry
